After 19 long days backpacking with my partner and Totem in the Fremont-Winema National forest, I have returned to civilization in good spirits. The trip was awesome—full of staggering cliffside views, running rivers, and high-desert marshes that looked like something out of a fairy tale. Totem learned how to herd cattle!
It was such a delight to watch the class slideshow upon my return and find so many sweet letters from students in my mailbox. I am reminded once again what a pleasure it has been working with you all this year. You are all such talented, creative, thoughtful kids! If you sent me a letter, keep your eyes peeled for a response letter coming your way in the near future; I will start writing letters back soon.
I hope everyone has had a GREAT start to their summer. Stay healthy, happy, and wonderfully YOU.
Cheers!
Charlie
